Ayahuasca Ceremony

The mother medicine of the Amazon: a journey of healing, purification and reconnection with your deepest essence.

Meet the medicine

What is this ceremony?

Ayahuasca is a sacred ancestral brew from the Amazon basin, made from the Banisteriopsis caapi vine and the Psychotria viridis leaf. For thousands of years, Indigenous peoples have used it as a medicine, a path of knowledge and a bridge between the visible and the unseen.

At our centre it is offered in night-time ceremonies guided by facilitators with over a decade of experience alongside master healers from the Peruvian Amazon. Each ceremony is prepared with intention, respect for the lineage and a rigorous safety protocol.

Ayahuasca belongs to a cultural and ritual context linked to Amazonian healing work and shamanism. The Spanish Association of Ayahuasca offers it with respect for the cultures of origin, caring for the process from the gathering of the plant to the cooking of the medicine.

Modern evidence

Scientific studies

Modern science is rediscovering what tradition has known for millennia.

In recent decades ayahuasca has attracted growing scientific interest. Preliminary studies suggest positive effects on subjective wellbeing, emotional regulation and, in some cases, a reduction in depressive symptoms. These findings are promising but do not constitute a medical indication.

Research at universities in Brazil and Europe has explored the potential of ayahuasca in ritualised contexts, observing improvements in mental-health indicators in small samples. The evidence is still preliminary and more rigorous research is needed.

The process

What can I expect?

The ceremony takes place in a sacred and safe space, with small groups of 12 to 20 people. Each participant has their place and the facilitators accompany you closely throughout the night.

The experience is subjective and variable: it can include deep introspection, emotional release, purging (vomiting or diarrhoea, a natural part of the cleansing process) and, at times, visions. No specific outcome is guaranteed; the important thing is to surrender with trust.

Close accompaniment

Facilitators and guides present at all times to support you.

Safety and containment

Prior health protocols and follow-up during and after the ceremony.

Integration at dawn

A space for sharing and rest to settle the experience.
